The timing kit is suitable for 1.2/1.4 TFSi and 1.4/1.6 FSi
engines. The kit contains the essential tool for TDC position
tool, camshaft setting plate and tensioner locking pin.

The comprehensive kit covers the engine timing and the belt
replacement on VAG 1.2 to 2.0 TDi Pumpe Duse and 1.2,
1.6, 2.0 TDi common rail diesel engines and also covers the
engine fitted in Ford, Dodge and Mitsubishi models.
The kit contains crankshaft locking tools for the both oval and
round gears, camshaft locking pins and tensioner adjusters.

This kit designs to fit the newest common rail diesel engine
which is significantly different from the older PD engine.
The CR engine combines the belt and the gear drive by
using a toothed belt to transfer the drive from the crankshaft
to one of the cam shafts, use the gear to transfer the drive
from one cam to the other.

and TDi CR (Common Rail) chain drive diesel engines found
in VAG range.

This range of the quad cam engine has 4 chains, 4 tensioners, linking the oil pump, the crankshaft, the camshaft and the balance shaft together. The chain system is located at the rear of the engine (gearbox end). The high pressure diesel pump is driven by using a toothed belt from one of the camshafts.
